Smart asses at the Ace Hotel put up this sweet hand-embroidered sign in their rickety elevator. They were right. I love that they could take the fact that they have a singular, tiny elevator for the hotel and turn it into a positive. Right on.

Glancing under these folks’ hedges in Portland, Oregon made me smile. I guess most of us don’t have enough (read: any) land here in New York City, so the chickens as pets thing hasn’t quite caught on to the same degree. Give us time. We love fresh eggs. For now, our CSA brings them to us, thankfully.
